Army Aviation Heritage Foundation Sky Soldiers UH-H1 Huey

The Army Aviation Heritage Foundation Sky Soldiers are back at the Owensboro Air Show. The last few years while the team has been in Owensboro on air show weekend, hundreds of people took advantage of the unique opportunity to ride on one of their iconic military helicopters. Paid rides starting at just $95 per passenger will again take place at the Owensboro Daviess County Regional Airport. The booth to check-in and get additional information about paid rides will be located just to the left of the airport terminal building. Rides are currently scheduled at the following times:

  • Fri., Sept. 13 – 12:00pm – approx. 6:00pm
  • Sat. Sept. 14 – 9:00am – approx. 12:30pm
  • Sun. Sept. 15 – 9:00am – approx. 12:30pm
B-25J Mitchell B-25J Mitchell

The Commemorative Air Force – Missouri will be offering a limited number of paid rides on their iconic B-25J Mitchell. Up to 5 riders per flight will get the unbelievable opportunity to experience flight in this living history museum. For $395 per person, two riders in the front and three in the aft will get a small glimpse of what it was like for forces during WWII to carry out their mission in this amazing aircraft.

Rides are currently scheduled at the following times:

  • Sat. Sept. 14 – 9:00am – approx. 12:30pm
  • Sun. Sept. 15 – 9:00am – approx. 12:30pm
